Russia will Ukrainian quotas on imports from SA – news portal LB.ua – Left Bank

Russia plans to set a quota for a number of Ukrainian goods after a January 1, 2016 to fully earn a free trade zone between Ukraine and the EU, provided that the Association Agreement.

This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Alexei Likhachev, TASS reports.

“We have proposed, in my opinion, the most that neither is a harmless solution . Since we are talking about the risks of repression of Ukrainian goods to European dumped us, we offered on goods from these “at-risk” to fix the quota in their maximum exports to Russia in recent years “, – he said.

He added that the toll will be levied only over delivery of these quotas, and the measure does not contradict WTO rules.

Recall that from the beginning of November 2014 the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU entered into force in truncated form. As previously agreed, Kiev, Brussels and Moscow, the trade part of the agreement will take effect later, since the beginning of 2016.
