Oreshkin: the certainty of the business environment in Russia – the main task of the Cabinet to 2017 – TASS

MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Certainty of the economic conditions for doing business in Russia is the main task of the government for 2017, said the Minister of economic development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin.

“to work the global market in Russia, to integrate Russia into the chain of international cooperation, it is necessary, of course, another level of certainty for business. And the issue of certainty of how the economy responds to the volatility of oil prices how sustainable the tax system, as do all regulatorika works in the country. This certainty is very important. I think this year the main task of the government – work hard to ensure that the certainty is(was) an understanding of how the economy will develop”, – he said at a business Breakfast during the Gaidar forum.

According to Oreshkin, the major part of foreign investments came to Russia for the last 15-20 years, when the economy was developing very fast due to the growth in consumer demand and a fairly strong ruble, due to increasing oil prices. “It is clear that in such conditions foreign business coming into Russia, primarily focused, of course, on the domestic market,” – said the Minister.

As stated the head of the MAYOR, in the last two years the situation is changing, the ruble is no longer overvalued. “And we see that more and more foreign companies are starting work on exports to the Russian market”, – he said, and urged foreign business to actively invest in the Russian economy.

“From the point of view of the real economy, in a situation when the economy has already started to grow and when the government is already focused on overcoming structural impediments to growth, just one who will act and invest faster, as always will receive a higher return on their investment. Those who will wait and defer investment decisions to a later date, will be in a less advantageous position. So I of all foreign colleagues are invited to make investments,” said Oreshkin.

He added that “if there are any limitations and any problems – you all know that the members of the government are always open and will help resolve problems that hinder investment”.

the Gaidar forum is an annual international scientific – practical conference in the field of Economics, one of the largest events of its kind in Russia. Held in Moscow in 2010 in memory of the scientist-economist, the ideologist of the Russian reforms of the early 1990s, Yegor Gaidar. The event is traditionally attended by representatives of authorities, expert community, business Russia and other countries.
