Russian Prime  Minister Dmitry Medvedev considers it possible to  return to the indexation of pensions to inflation  figures in 2017. 
“We need to find a configuration of the budget, which will allow in all circumstances to fulfill social obligations – Tass quoted him as saying. – In spite of certain difficulties, we are now coping with this problem, including through sufficiently tight fiscal policy in recent years and the reserves that we have created. The next year, as I said, if it will develop all the conditions, I hope that it will be so, you will need to return to the indexation of pensions in terms of
inflation. »
  According to  Medvedev, it is necessary to look for reserves to  support those with small incomes, those who are  really in need of government assistance. He  explained that is because of people with  disabilities on the health of seniors, families  with children. “We will need to carefully  calculate all the maximum,” – said the  prime

  “We have to be realistic about  their potential for revenues, primarily to take  into account global trends and world energy  prices, the growth rate, which is the world  economy, and certainly sanctions restrictions  – said Medvedev. – And the most  well-planned spending to concentrate budget  resources on the truly priority areas »

  During Dmitry Medvedev’s visit  to the Crimea at the end of May, residents of the  region complained to the head of government in the  size of pensions.
