Ministry of Energy of Russia sent to the government a proposal to withdraw from the market power of incandescent lamps of 60 and 75W, replacing them with LED, reports TASS.
“Over the past four years, the light output of LED lamps has increased by half, and their price has dropped more than three times. The domestic industry has mastered the production of LED lamps for new technologies, which are all qualities superior to incandescent and externally virtually indistinguishable from them, “- said Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyn

According to him, the savings from switching from incandescent bulbs to LED lamps up to 8-10 times.
The informed source said that the Government aimed to document can be adopted within two to three months, and said that implementation of the proposed measures will save 10 billion to 25 billion rubles a year.
Earlier it was reported about a way to save on electricity by using energy-saving lamps and LED.
