“Bashneft” in the case of a transition to state ownership should be included in the plan of privatization of federal property, said Energy Minister Alexander Novak. “If we start from the general logic, we have a privatization plan for all companies, so perhaps it would be more logical course to include it in the privatization plan. And the state would have received the income, and the company would work with the point of view of the market” – said Novak.
He noted that “Bashneft” – not the biggest player in the market, it takes only 3 percent of the total production in the Russian Federation.
Also, Novak said that on Sunday, the Ministry of Energy of Russia and China sign memorandum on Russian gas supplies to China. Novak explained that CNPC and “Gazprom”, “working on the issue in more detail,” and between ministries will sign the document already on 9 November. Novak said that the resurrection has already met with the Minister of Energy of China, which discussed the construction of the pipeline “Altai”.
The Minister also said that during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to China will sign documents “Rosneft” and “RusHydro”, the “Intefaks”.
With regard to the payment of Ukraine’s gas supply Migenergo expects it soon. Novak said that Ukraine needs gas, so the sooner pay, “the better it and Ukrainian consumers”.
He noted that “Gazprom” has already transferred the payments for gas transit through Ukraine for the fourth quarter and it is considered one of the sources of prepayments for gas for November-December.
