Ban Ki-moon called for a thorough investigation of resonant crimes and bring perpetrators to justice
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed grave concern about reports of recent murders in Kiev, former parliamentarian and journalist Oleg Kalashnikov Olesya Elderberry. This was announced on the eve of his press secretary, reports the UN News Center.
“The Secretary-General took note of the fact that the President Poroshenko called for a prompt investigation of two murders and urged to investigate all other such crimes,” – said in a statement.
Ban Ki-moon stressed that a proper investigation of these crimes will be crucial to ensure the rule of law in the country and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Recall on April 16 in Kiev was shot and killed a former chief editor of the newspaper “Today”, the notorious writer Oles elder. According to preliminary reports, he was shot from a dark blue car.
