Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that Iran is ready to act as guarantor of Turkey’s energy security, the Iranian agency IRNA. This statement was made Rouhani during his visit to Ankara at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Rouhani also stressed that the road to cooperation between the two countries is open. He called for the elimination of barriers to trade and economic cooperation after the lifting of sanctions against Iran. The Iranian president also called on Turkey to fight together against Islamophobia in the world and to show how to look real Islam.
