Russia is not going to restructure the debt of Ukraine at $ 3 billion. This was announced by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Interfax reports.
Siluanov stressed that the Russian side would expect from Kiev to meet obligations. “If the obligations are not executed, we will submit to arbitration in accordance with the agreement on the NWF investing in bonds of Ukraine as a sovereign,” – the minister said.
February 10 head of the Russian Finance Ministry said that Ukraine appealed to Russia with a request to restructure the debt of $ 3 billion. According Siluanova, it was about this during his talks with Ukrainian counterpart.
Later, the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine denied this information. The department explained that there was an agreement that Ukraine will negotiate with the creditors on the debt, but to Moscow, Kiev did not apply.
As reported in January, the agency Moody’s, if Moscow would require the Kiev debt, Ukraine can expect a default.
