President of Vietnam will take part in the celebrations in Moscow to mark the anniversary of the Victory – Kommersant

Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang to take part in the festivities in Moscow dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Chief of Staff of the Russian government Sergei Prikhodko confirmed to “Interfax” the arrival of the Vietnamese leader in Moscow on May celebration.

Mr Prikhodko said that this year and next year, Russia and Vietnam mark a number of anniversaries. So, in 2015, marked the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries at the end of April marks the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Vietnam, and in September – the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of independence. In 2016, Moscow and Hanoi will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership.
